Christmas celebration in the boarding and Vimukti:
The boarding children dress like Mary, Joseph and Santa- clause bearing Baby jesus in their arms, moved from house to house singing carols ad praying for each family irrespective of cast and religion. The boarding children enjoyed much as they were distributed cakes and gifts hands full. The joy of Christmas was at its Zenith when all the children from the remote villages gathered at the Vimukti for a community meal and liturgical celebration. Children sang and danced with all their might to express their Christmas joy. The kids were gifted T shirts, plenty of sweets. The Christmas message was symbolically enhanced and the children longed to watch it; full with the spirit of Christmas children sang and performed various cultural items that they worked hard on preparing for this occasion. After the merry making, the children enjoyed a sumptuous lunch. For this day, they will enjoy the love they received first hand.

Our children went around the villages accompanying the parish priest into almost 16 villages participating in the village masses and joining their Christmas celebrations throughout the season. Indeed we walked an extra mile, sought Jesus joyfully and embraced our role in witnessing to God’s saving plan for the world today.
