Visit to Police Station:
As the beautiful quote says ''Education is that whole system of
human training within and without the school house walls, which molds
and develops children''. We must know education is not limited to
certain areas but in every field there is something to learn. We know
that in the past the vimukti ceaselessly working towards the development
and education of children in various ways and tries to implement new
ways and methods, it organized a day out for about 40 children to the
kavital police working department to know more about the work and
mission that is undertaken by the police personnel. In many countries
around the world police are often the main violators of child rights -
especially in relation to children. However, through this training and
sensitization police assured them as they would become the partners and
protectors of children's rights. These children were introduced to
various materials and information about who the police is and the duties
which they uphold.
The Police officers also explained the children the various
responsibilities to provide safety for communities and to protect the
safety of individuals. A policeman upholds the law, helps to protect
personal property, and maintains order. They also help children who are
lost to find their parents, and to know to various rights which are
constituted by the Indian government. The job of the policeman can be
dangerous, as they are faced with unpredictable situations daily. The
policeman puts his or her own safety at risk every day in order to
protect us. They may work in police stations and are a visible,
peace-keeping presence in our communities. The children had also
privilege to know about the arms and ammunition like gun, pistol etc...
The vimukti staff who accompanied these children thanked the police
department for spending their precious time with the children and giving
the important information about their life, duty and the responsibility.
On the whole it was a fruitful a day-out to vimukti club children. There
were 40 children benefited from this program.
