REMEMBERING
VERONIQUE NENY
A BEAUTIFUL & GENEROUS PERSON
Adieu –À Dieu Mme VERONIQUE NENY
Death is a mystery and no one can explain it neither can stop it. It
comes to your door like an uninvited guest. Death is often considered as
the fearful thing and no one wants to think about it. On 26th October
2013 Véronique Neny at the age of 60, death came to her door and she had
to receive it gladly. She was succumbed to death due to cancer. It is
hard to say that she has gone away from all of us. All that we
experience is the emptiness here and now and no one can replace her and
that is the reality we are going through.
“We just got to REMEMBER her psychical presence is not present, but she
is NEVER FORGOTTEN.” Véronique was a lovely human person. She was
sociable, kind, generous, and she lead a simple life dedicating her life
totally for the cause of the poor and needy. She was the benefactor of
Devamma the 6th Standard child. She helped her economically and also
providing all the support she could do the sponsored child. The most
significant factor was she was in love with the poor. She supported in
every way the vimukti charitable trust which is doing a wonderful work
of serving the poor. The way she influenced the lives of people can
never be forgotten. She was indeed a beautiful soul. She had a great
heart, a heart to love, a heart to give and a heart to serve. The last
words of her life were when she was lying ill on the bed were heart
breaking “do not spend the money for flowers to decorate the grave but
use the sum money for the welfare of the poor and the marginalized
children”. She has inspired us by her words, by her actions and by her
very life. No one can ever replace her. We all miss her and miss her so
much. She, who has gone away, so we but cherish her memory, abides with
us, more potent, nay, more present than the living woman does. Dear
Veronica:
A little tribute true
and tender
Just to show that we remember
Time may pass and fade away
But memories of you will always stay
May the soul of Véronique Neny may rest in peace.
