Indian Life Insurance Policy Restores Hope to My Family
Here is my story! My name is Mrs. Nirmala. I am living in the small
village called Gavigattu which comes under Manvi Taluk of Raichur
District. I have a small family. My son is (late) Prashanth and
daughter, is Chitra. My husband (late) Mr. Mallappa worked as a bill
collector at the Gram Panchayat office. All that he earned was used for
our living.
When my son Prashanth was studying in second standard, he fell ill and
remained so for a long time. Later on, we discovered that he was
suffering from dengue fever. Doctors gave up hope, as Prashanth battled
long for life and breathed his last at the hospital. In utter
desperation of losing the son, my husband took to alcohol. One day as he
was riding the bike drunk, he met with a fatal accident and succumbed to
the injuries, after few days’ treatment in the hospital. This tragedy of
losing both my husband and the son is unforgettable. I lost my hope and
I was completely shattered.
When my husband was working, he had taken the Indian life Insurance
Policy. But I was totally ignorant of how to obtain the insurance money.
It was at this time of my need Vimukti charitable trust staff, Mr.
Arogyappa offered his help and guided me to get the life insurance from
the Manvi taluk LIC branch. I received the total sum of Rs. 1,50,000
from the insurance policy. With the received money, I paid the hospital
bills and debts of my husband. And the rest of it, I am using for my
daughter’s education and for my self-employment. Without the insurance
money, I would have lived all my life in debts.
The timely support, encouragement, and selfless service of the members
of Vimukti Charitable Trust is something which I cannot forget in my
life. They brought back hope in my life. Now I have enough courage to
lead my life with my daughter. I have the responsibility of caring for
her and secure her a bright future. I really appreciate the hard work of
the director and staff of Vimukti and will remain ever indebted them.
Thank you, and thank you so much.
