Vimukti Charitable Trust Donates Educational material support to economically deprived students:

David Vitter, U.S. senator says “I continue to believe that if children are given the necessary tools to succeed, they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams!". True indeed that many of the children are in one way or the other need of something in day to day lives. Tools can me meant anything that which requires a child to develop his or her potentials to the full. Many of the parents have a dream for their children that they achieve their ambitions, goals or fulfil their dreams and no doubt that their sacrifices towards children are unremarkable. There are also parents who cannot reach out to their children to achieve their goal due to the economic conditions and various other reasons. At times the dreams of those children are shattered due to these factors. The main aim of the vimukti charitable trust is to cater to the needs of the poor children helping them in various ways as they grow day by day. From the past few years vimukti has found new ways and methods to help poor and needy children to succeed to go beyond wildest dreams. As a result progress is seen in the education of the students, to develop their talents and various skills.

Many students in Pothnal as well as in other areas are dropping education in between the year due to lack of educational material. Their impoverished parents cannot provide necessary educational material. One of the reasons is the poverty which they face. Many of the parents are poor farmers who are fully dependent on their crops and some parents are daily labourers. Their wages would be not sufficient to meet all the needs of their children. The vimukti organisation at this beginning of the scholastic year worked hard in taking a survey of the children who are economically poor and needy in Pothnal and in surrounding villages.

Special programme of distributing the materials was held on 25th May 2013 some of the dignitaries like Fr. Anthony Raj Parish priest Clara Vihar Pothnal, Fr. Claude Mascarehnas Principal Sneha Joythi Vidyalya Mr. Sheshareddi congress leader Mr. Kirligappa Grma Panchyath leader and Fr. Sathish Vimukti Director were on the dais. To mark this event Children were distributed educational materials such as school uniforms, footwear, School bags; Notebooks, Stationery, etc. The vimukti trust had provided such support to about 155 students studying in different classes from 1st to 10th standard. This much more needed help has encouraged poor and needy students for their continuation of education and study well on part with other students of affluent. Their parents who witnessed this event were overjoyed and felt the relief of their burden in a very significant way. Through a child sponsorship program, a little contribution would definitely shape the bright future of helpless children in and around Pothnal village. Many appreciated the initiative taken by this institute. This event of distributing educational material was so well organised by the entire vimukti team with much hard effort, even where the prominent dignitaries had a word of appreciation to this institute. Credit must be given to the director and the entire vimukti staff for their contribution in making the day wonderful. Let the work of building the bright future of the poor and needy children may be continued ever. This event would remain ever memorable one in the hearts and minds of children, parents, guests, it will be written down in the pages of vimukti charitable trust.
