“I am Cured and have No Tension and Anxiety”

“My Name is Parashuram. I am 15 years old. I belong to Jeenor village of Pothnal Gram panchayat of Manvi taluka, Raichur Dist. I was suffering from chronic cardiac problems by birth. I was feeling weak. I went to many hospitals for checkups but no doctor could diagnose my disease properly. My parents were worried and passing through mental turmoil as my health condition was deteriorating day by day.

With each passing day my family’s burden was increasing. Added to my ill health, family had my two sisters to care for. One day, one of staff of the Vimukti charitable Trust, Pothnal visited my family. She broke the news for us about the visit of the two eminent heart surgeons from the Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, to the VCT, Pothnal, and that they would give free heart checkups. The surgeons from the Manipal hospital at the VCT diagnosed a congenital heart disease and suggested that I undergo a heart surgery without delay. The Vimukti did their best so that I received the best of medical care and treatment without putting me to any inconvenience.

I was sent to the Manipal Hospital, Bangalore for my heart surgery which was costing nearly Rs. 2,00,000/-. Yet my surgery was carried out freely. After staying for 16 days in the hospital, I was back to Pothnal and continued my medication. Now, since last four months, I am cured and my parents are relieved of all tension and anxiety. I am grateful to the VCT for what I am today. I never thought I would regain normal health. I would like to thank all the VCT staff members and in particular, I thank Fr. Director for standing by me at difficult moments of my life.”
