Counseling session for Fathers
Fr Vinod Mascarenhas conducted counseling sessions for the fathers of school going children on gender equality and education of children. Fr Vinod explained to the fathers group the serious need of gender equality in the present society for establishing rights based society. Participants were made aware of the various issues crime and injustice caused by gender inequality in the society. Like male females are also equality entitled to enjoy the rights and freedom in all the places. The rights of women must be respected in every way possible way to uphold the human worth and value. The drastic gap in treating girl child and boy child causes imbalance in the growth pattern and hinders the healthy growth of the society. Safe, secure and healthy society is possible only when responsibilities, rights and duties are equally divided there is no work which only men or women have to do, all are equal and equally responsible. In this regard parents specially the fathers have to take great care in ensuring equality to every girl child born in the family.
