60TH ANNIVERSARY OF CHILDFUND INDA
CAPUCHIN KRISHIK SEVA KENDRA®- UJIRE

ChildFund India was being celebrated by Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra(CKSK), Vimukti, in Ujire at Sharada mantap on 10th July, 2011. This function was held to mark the 60 years existence of the ChildFund India. The function was inaugurated by Mr. Pratapsimha Nayak Advocate and Notary Belthangady. Addressing the huge gathering he said that CKSK Vimukti is vibrant social work unit along with developmental work generates love and peace in the society. Further he said the humanity goes in search of divine, forgetting the very godly people in their own land who contribute to the lowely and unfortunate humanity. He gratefully remembered all the ChildFund sponsors and called upon the kind hearted people to support the Capuchins in their fight against child labor, malnutrition and other evils which hinder the growth of the little children by promoting the sponsorship program for the rural and marginalized children. Ms Molly coordinator of the Vimukti briefly delivered the objectives of the program. Ms. Matha Rai education coordinator presented the elaborated report of the ChilfFund Programs. Rev. Fr. Vinod Mascarenhas cap, Director of CKSK, Vimukti, Ujire presided over the function, in his presidential speech he thanked for all the ChildFund India Sponsors who have been contributing for the well being of the most excluded, deprived and vulnerable children and women. He also called upon the present dignitaries and those who have benefited to contribute and support the less fortunate and vulnerable children.

The other dignitaries Ms. Dhanalaxmi the Zilla Panchayat Vise President, Rev. Fr. Manoj Victor Dsouza Vicar of Dayalbagh Ashram, Ms. Shoba, President of ChildFund mothers committee and representatives of sponsored children Padmashree and Nelson Monis were on dais. Ms. Padmashree, Ms. Vinitha and Nelson Monis ChildFund sponsored children were grateful for all the support, encouragagement, motivation which they gained through the Project and the Sponsors. They also promised to help other children for their bright future. Mrs. Sheela mother of a sponsored child expressed her gratitude for organizing various awareness programs to live dignified life in the society. On this special occasion Project recognized a few sponsored children who have excelled in education and professional skills. And also honored sponsored children who have secured highest marks in SSLC examination.

The children were recognized and appreciated by the organization for the achievement that they made in various levels such as singing, debate, sports, drawing and music etc. There were 750 sponsored children along with their parents, press reporters, and local community members witnessed the function.

A brief PowerPoint presentation was visualized of the 12 years activities done by the CKSK through the support of ChildFund India. There were also many cultural programs’ to make the celebration a memorable one. Ms. Rachana and Ms. Manshia anchored the programe. Ms. Arathi welcomed the gathering and Mr. Wilson thanked all those who supported the success of the program.
