Free Cycle Distribution Programme :
Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra in collaboration of ChildFund distributed free Cycles to 50 school going children and conducted Cycle Rally in support of Girl child Education in Belthangadi. Tasildar Mr. H.V Prasanna inaugurated the event. Speaking to the gathering he congratulated and appreciated the capuchin Fathers for their self less service for the long years in Belthangady . Mrs. Susheela Hegde the voice president of Lions Club Belthangadi spoke at length about women empowerment . She said only education can uplift women and all women must gain the will power come to the forefront of the society. Fr Vinod Mascaranhas Director of CKSK Vimukti presided over the program. He gave a criterion call all the parents gathered to encourage girls for education and respect their rights. While distributing the cycles as cycle moves forword so to girls to should move forward in the society. Fr. Amar Lobo leading the cycle rally requested the participants and the people gathered to give equal importance for education of Girls asit is given to boys. He said taking care of aged parents in not only the responsibility of boys but also girls and girls are eager and all the more happy to share the responsibility of taking care of parents and lead the family provided that they are given good education. Though the higer education is expesive its is worth spending for girls too as they are the people who holds the society and family.
