The Inauguration Vimukti Children’s
‘Parliament’ and the book release of “Vimukti children’s Voice”
On 13th of January 2013 the children of 14 villages arrived at the
Vimukti premises at 9.30 a.m. various events and competitions were
organized on this day. First, there was clay model exhibition on science
which was held. At the Sneha Jyothi School premises, the speech
competition was arranged. Many children took active part, gave
inspiring, and thought provoking speeches.
In the evening at 5.00, the cultural programme commenced. The Anugraha
convent children invoked God`s blessings on the programme through their
prayer dance. Rev. Fr. Sathish Fernandes the Director of Vimukti with
his introductory words brought to the notice of all that the programmes
for the Vimukti children were done in and through the help and support
of the Ensemble Agissons.
Moving ahead Mr. Daniel Helbert, the President of “Ensemble Agissons”
France released the Book named as “Vimukti Makkala Dwani” which can be
translated as “Vimukti Children’s voice” and inaugurated the Children’s
Parliament movement. This little book included lot of articles, poems,
short stories, jokes and many other articles. Mr.S.H. Kopparada the
Taluka E.O inaugurated the programme.
The children honoured Mr.P. Paramesh the reporter of “Suddhi Mula” daily
newspaper. For those children who secured highest marks in S.S.L.C
(10th) examinations among the 14 villages were honoured and given
prizes. The children of Vimukti child parliament, muddangudi presented a
drama on child parliament.
The Taluka Panchayath officer, Manvi, Mr.S.H. Kopparada spoke on the
holistic developmental programme undertook by Vimukti in rural areas for
the children and quoted it as a wonderful task and initiative. The chief
guest Mr. Shridhar Doddi S.I. of Manvi said that in rural areas very few
raise voices against children and their problems. However, Vimukti has
shown an exemplary way to them and by making them aware of their talents
helped them to grow in many ways. Fr Jerald Lobo O.F.M Cap administrator
of Karnataka province Bangalore brought to the notice- the beginning of
Pothnal church and mission then and the present scenario in spite of all
the hardships and struggles.
During the programme, the members of Ensemble Agissons were honored and
given a memento. Mr. Daniel Albert the President spoke and addressing
the gathering that a good future is must for a child, that is what we
expect, and the children are biggest and important resources. Mrs.
Bernadette Helbert, Mrs. Jattiot Lilly the vice president, Fr. Santa
Lopez, Fr. Robin Lopez superior of Clara Vihar Pothnal, Rev. Sr. Nirmala
Superior of anugraha Convent were on the dais. Dance competitions were
held at 6.00 p.m and at last Mrs. Veronique the member of Ensemble
Agissons France handed over the prizes to the winners of senior and
junior category respectively. Mr. Jayasheela the Vimukti coordinator
conducted the prize distribution and honoring ceremony. The Vimukti
staff Mr. Arogyappa anchored the programme. In addition, all the other
Vimukti staff who involved actively and worked day in and day out for
the success of this event.
The programme ended at 8.00 after a successful and a wonderful
achievement of its purpose. All those who took part in it enjoyed this
event. It was a remarkable achievement of this charitable institute in
its present history.
