The sponsored child is at a great
surprise to see the God's providence executed through human hands of
French Benefactor Mr. Christian Bensnier.
I am Praveen hailing from Belwata village. I am the second son of my
father, who is no more and my mother Mrs. Reginamma, who is the only
bread winner of our family. And I have an elder brother, studying in
twelth grade. My mother is suffering from dangerous and incurable
disease, which has put her into feeble and vulnerable condition.
Soon after the death of my father, we were abandoned and left away
on the streets by his brothers and relatives. Being lonely and
distressed we knocked at the door of my grandmother's house for the
shelter and sought refuge. Though we were welcomed and comforted
initially, but later she too rejected us. In order to work and
support my family I had to discontinue my studies. Then we worked in
the fields of a land lord who assured us minimum wages and a hut to
live in temporarily.
Mean while the illness of my mother grew severe and her health
deteriorated rapidly. At this hopeless and painful situation, VCT,
Director Fr. Sathish Fernandes came to our rescue and provided us
food, clothing and shelter. Mean time “Ensemble Agissons” France
also, came to our aid, and supported us enormously. Since we were
sheltered under a land lord’s house, without having any claim of
land or house of our own, Fr. Sathish Fernandes along with VCT Staff
visited our family and studied our case. After a long discussion and
clarification they have built a mobile house for us to live in and
made us easy to shift from one place to the other, perhaps we may be
asked anytime by the land lord to vacate his territory.
I am along with my family members express a deep felt gratitude from
our heart for the marvelous deeds you have done for us. Now we are
very happy to live in this new mobile house. Words would fall short
to thank enough my sponsor Mr. Christian Bensnier for his kindness
and generosity. I am even proud to say Mr. Christian Bensnier as my
